In 1954 Seattle was planning to buy 100 new buses. In a side-by-side comparison, they tested five GM TDH-5105s (numbered 1100-1104), five Mack C-49DTs and five Flxible Twins. After testing, Seattle decided to order 100 GM TDH-5105s and they were delivered in October-December 1955, beign numbered into 200-299 series. They were delivered in new green and white livery (test coches 1100-1104 were delivered in yellow and gray livery; later they were renumbered 300-304). Seattle TDH-5105s were retired by 1982, coach 263 of this order is preserved by the Metro Employees Historic Vehicle Assn (Seattle WA).
