Car 5502 was built by Naniwa Koki in November 1953; it had four 55 h.p. motors and D19 (FS351)-type trucks instead of B-3 trucks on PCC 5501. As other cars of 5500-series, 5502 was used solely on route 1 (Shinagawa-Ueno) until December 1967 when this route was closed.
