After the World War II, the San Francisco Municipal Railway decided to open more trolley coach lines and orders for new trolley buses were placed to St.Louis Car Co, Marmon-Herrington and Twin Coach. In 1949 ninety model 44TTW Twins were delivered to San Francisco, being numbered 570-659; they were remained in service until late 70s; coach #614 (serial number 045) is preserved now in Orange Empire Railway Museum in Perris, CA. 'Stock' version of this model represents 'as delivered in 1949' livery with front line sign only; post-mid'50s livery with front line/destination signs and rear rail guard to hold the trolley ropes available on order.
