At its peak the trolleybus network in Stockholm operated 193 trolleybuses on 12 routes, making it the largest system in the Scandinavia. First trolleybus route in Stockholm was opened on 10th January 1940 and the system expanded rapidly through both the World War 2 period and the immediate post-war years. Between 1947 and 1950 AB Hagglund Company built for Stockholm at total 113 new trolleybuses of F3-class on Scania-Vabis T30 chassis with ASEA electrical equipment. These vehicles were the cornestone of the Stockholm trolleybus fleet for many years. Conversion to diesel bus operation began in 1952 and the final route was converted in August 1964.
