The post-war trolley coach production in ACF-Brill plant in Philadelphia was started in May 1945 with seven coaches for Des Moines Railway Co. The post-war model was called TC-44 and it was refined in 1947 with larger windshield, trolley base shroud etc; Philadelphia Transportation Co. acquired 65 modernized TC-44 coaches between November 1947 and January 1948. The coaches were numbered 201-265, all with GE electrical equipment. First 32 coaches of this class were used to conversion of route 29 and remaining 33 coaches were used for route 75 in Northeast Philadelphia.
