The first LUT Felthams were delivered to Hanwell depot in 1931 and entered service on route 7 from Uxbridge to Shepherds Bush. They were also used on route 55 on Sundays. The LUT cars had no plough carriers. Route 7 was converted to trolleybus operation in November 1936 under London Transport management and ex-LUT Felthams were fitted with plough carriers and moved to Telford Avenue and Brixton Hill depots for work on South London services 8,10,16,18 and 20.
