In August-October 1951, Cleveland Transit System received 50 large Marmon-Herrington TC-49 trolley coaches. They were bought to replace streetcars on St.Clair, but replaced smaller trolley coaches on E.105th instead. This fleet was known as the 'Big Marmons'. Coach 1324 was displayed at the Brussels Automobile Show in 1952. TC-49s were withdrawn from service in June 1963 and were sold for scrap, while smaller TC-44 coaches were sold to Mexico City in 1959.
