In September 1956 Indianapolis Transit System ordered 70 GM TDH-5105 buses costing $1,639,000. They arrived in February 1957 and wear new orange and cream livery with colorful 'New Look' interior in the pastel green colors. They replaced the last Indianapolis trolley coach line in March 1957.
