Indianapolis Railways acquired 10 Twin Coach 44-S buses in March 1948 (901-910 series; with original windows design) and ten more in May 1949 (919-920 series). The were last gasoline buses to go into service in Indianapolis (second batch had modified windows design). The 919-920 series were assigned to the new rush-hour express service in 1949 (it was discontinued in 1950). Two coaches of this series (919-920) were part of the LPG-test program. In 1955 all Indianapolis Twin Coach buses were sold to Duluth. [Photo: Indianapolis Railways; David Miller Collection]
