Ten ACF-Brill TC-44 trolley coaches of the improved design were delivered to Akron Transportation Co. in January 1948, being numbered 161-170. As all Akron trolley coaches they had the Westinghouse equipment. Five coaches of the 1945 batch was sold to Youngstown in 1954 but all coaches of the 1948 delivery remained in Akron until the end of the trolley coach operation in June 1959.
