Model
In 1947 Muni placed its first trolley coach order with Marmon-Herrington company. Twenty-five model TC-40 trolleybuses arrived in 1947 and were the only 40-seat models produced by Marmon. Known as 'Baby Marmons', they were numbered 526-549 and were intended to convert the 22 Fillmore line but were used on other routes until the conversion of the Fillmore route was completed. Byu 1954, with arrivals of larger TC-44 and TC-48 models, TC-40s were used only as Seals Stadium trippers and were out of service by end of 50s. Two coaches, Nos.530 and 536 were preserved.
