In early 60s San Francisco Municipal Railway painted some of its equipment in the different experimental paint schemes as possible replacement for the famous 'wings' and later adopted the simplified non-wings livery for many streetcars, buses and trolley coaches. In 1963 car #1144 was painted out in a few experimental painting schemes before the final version of the 'MUNI Simplified' livery was determined. The latest (4th) experimental livery, applied to car #1144 is represented by this model. This version has original SLPS 'blinker' doors.
