In December 1944 Twin City Rapid Transit Co. placed the order for sample demonstrator PCC car and car 1547 from Pittsburgh order was diverted to Twin City. It arrived in February 1945 and operated briefly in Pittsburgh paint scheme and was repainted in TCRT colors and was renumbered 299 in 1946. At first years it served the Interurban line. As many others TCRT PCCs, it was sold to Mexico City in March 1954.
