During the World War II the Dallas Railway & Terminal Company ordered thrity ACF-Brill TC-44 trolley coaches to open its first trolley coach line 34-Vickery. The coaches were delivered in June and July 1945 and the service was started on November 25th. The new trolley coaches arrived in the attractive red and cream paint scheme and were numbered 1001-1030. The second trolley coach line 24-Capitol was added in February 1946. Twenty-four more coaches were delivered in March-April 1947 (numbered 1031-1054) for first streetcar conversions. The ACF-Brills were the mainstay of the Dallas system, plus 26 Marmons (include 10 second-hand vehicles from Cincinnati) acquired in 1953 and 1958. In 1966 Dallas Transit System took delivery of 330 GM diesel buses and at July 1966 the trolley coach operation in Dallas was ended.
