27 'Commonwealth' PCC cars of the 1945/46 delivery were rehabilitated between 1978 and 1982 (cars 3222, 3226, 3229, 3230, 3232, 3235, 3237, 3242, 3244, 3246-3247, 3252-3253, 3255-3256, 3259-3263, 3265-3271). Twelve wartime PCC cars were assigned to the Mattapan line, although painted in green rather than red. [This version use a body of the SPTC57bc-3/4/5 cars and has unmodified center exit doors and rearmost side windows and may be produced on Customer's request].
