25 cars from the first series of the Wartime M.U. PCC cars received the roof monitors in 1950, completing the extensive program when 150 of the Wartime PCC cars were rebuilt with ceiling fans. These cars were 3057-3066, 3102-3111 and 3142-3146. As other rebuilt cars they were known as 'Commonwealth' class.
