In mid-40s all silver PTC cars (1938, 1940/41 PCC and Brilliners) were repainted to new standard green & cream livery with gray roof and maroon striping, introduced on 1942 PCC cars. The Brilliners, a non-standard class of the cars, saw little service and cars 2021 and 2022 were retired in 1951; car 2023 was scrapped in August 1956.
